Hey everyone — BrwN here.
A large New ClassicKBD update is live. Fully close the game, reopen the ClassicKBD Launcher, and Play New so you get the new client. New is still Pre-Alpha — progress can be wiped.
Guild capes
- Champions Cape (dark red), Heroes Cape (light blue), and Cape of legends (white)
- Worn on the same cape as red / blue / black — new colours only
- Valaine in the Champions Guild sells the Champions Cape
- Helemos in the Heroes Guild sells the Heroes Cape next to the Dragon Battle Axe
- Siegfried Erkle in the Legends Guild still sells the Cape of legends (Legends Quest complete)
Clan bank
- Talk to a banker, or right-click Clan Bank (Gundai in the Mage Arena too)
- Anyone in the clan can deposit
- The leader sets who may withdraw in Clan Settings (also a button at the bottom of the clan tab, like “add a friend”)
- Quest items, untradables, and pet dragons cannot be deposited
- Certificates and bank notes work the same as your personal bank, including Uncert+Deposit
Hotkeys
- F5 recasts your last spell
- Shift+F6 / F7 / F8, then click a spell or prayer to bind it (no runes or level needed to bind)
- F6–F8 use that bind with the menu closed
- Prayers say on/off when you toggle them
- The bind hint hides when you hover a spell so you can still see the runes
Client and settings
- Popout Menu — the Menu button is no longer stuck on the main screen (Settings → Custom)
- Settings are split into General, Social, and Custom
- More Settings is under Game options on General (mouse buttons, menu text size, side menu, and more)
- Hide PK bot chat is on Custom and at the top of Social
- Highscores is near the top of Custom
- In-game highscores include Clan Highscores (clan name, sum of members’ levels and XP)
- Logout works on every settings tab
- Skills pane is wider and stays on screen; hovering the top of the Skills tab opens it
- Ground-item filter: Show ALL / Hide ALL / Only Bones / No Bones
- Daily login streak opens by itself when you have an unclaimed day. After you claim, it stays closed until the next reward is waiting
Combat and items
- Dragon Chain Mail Body is wearable (Defense 60, chain-body slot). It uses the normal chain-body look with a dragon colour
- Dragon plate, kite, and chain require Defense, not Strength
- Rings can be worn. Equipping a ring unequips the one already in that slot
- Ring of Avarice also picks up certificates and notes
- Knife on a chicken: 1 / 3 / 6 feathers, no XP, 20% chance the chicken fights back
Agility shortcuts
- Dwarven Mine — 60, two-way
- Varrock sewers — 75, two-way
- Black Knights’ Fortress cliff — 90, two-way
- Wilderness L12 altar lava — 105, one-way
- Lava Maze — 110, one-way
- Deep Dragon Isles — 120 / 130 / 135 / 140
Pets and Construction
- Pet dragons are tighter: one pet, not droppable, kept on death, token restored if it goes missing. Call Out tells you why it failed
- Fire (and Fairy) pet sprites no longer show leftover white canvas
- Leaving a Construction island by teleport no longer leaves you on the island layer
- Bank / clan-bank “millions” stack bug and Construction plank stacking are fixed
Other fixes
- Dual-login leftover island height is cleared
- PK-bot world drops no longer announce fake valuables (half of a key) to random players
- Herblaw identify XP is the authentic values
- Deepwood no longer uses wilderness level or the wilderness warning
- Public Discord #new-trade
How to update
1. Fully close the game client
2. Close and reopen the ClassicKBD Launcher
3. Play New so it can pull the latest files
Android: open the app so it can force-update to 7.26, then let it download the New cache.
